

I've had to be prodded in a lot of strange ways by doctors lately for my physical examinations in order to get my work visa for living in China next year. The strangest test I had to take was for color-blindness. People in the U.S. aren't tested for color-blindness very much any more. Most of our crosswalk signs and other markers are designed not to cause any problems for color-blind people. I think this is sort of a shame, and here's why; the pictures they use to test for colorblindness are really beautiful. Here are a few of my favorites:
